Set in central London the annual Clerkenwell Design Week exhibition is due to take place this year from the 23rd to the 25th May 2017. Now in its 8th Year CDW has established itself as one of the UK’s leading independent design festivals.
With a range of talks by industry professionals, alongside hosting furniture and interiors showrooms, to featuring new design projects and street spectacles, which are commissioned specially for the festival and displayed prominently around Clerkenwell. The London Design Festival is an annual event, held to celebrate and promote London as the design capital of the world and as the gateway to the international creative community. The next Festival will be held 17-25 September 2016.
What is the London Design Festival?
The London Design Festival was conceived by Sir John Sorrell and Ben Evans. Building on London’s existing design activity, their concept was to create an annual event that would promote the city’s creativity, drawing in the country’s greatest thinkers, practitioners, retailers and educators to a deliver an unmissable celebration of design. Festival events are staged in up to 400 different venues across the city. Check individual event listings for details. The Festival’s hub is at the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), which provides a good starting point from which to explore the Festival.
